| 내용 | 한국 전통복식의 색채전달에 적합한 표준 색채 공간 Standard Color Space for Color Communication of Korean Traditional Costume 김 지 영 서일대학교 의상과 부교수 Kim, Ji Young Dept. of Clothing and Textiles, Seoil University _________________________________________________ 논문요약 한국 전통복식의 색채를 전달하는데 있어 NCS 색체계와 Munsell 색체계를 사용한 색영역을 색채공간에서 확인하고, 이 중 한국 전통복식의 색채 특성을 더욱 정확하면서 면밀히 표현할 수 있는 색체계를 찾아 한국 전통복식의 색채전달에 적합한 표준 색채 공간을 제시하였다. 연구의 내용 및 방법으로는 한국 전통복식의 색채수집을 위하여 우리나라 전통사회의 생활이 잘 드러난 전통예술 부문의 중요무형문화재에서 사진을 추출하여 의복의 색채를 NCS와 Munsell 색체계로 측색하고, 이를 전환한 CIE L*a*b* 표색계 공간을 Color 3D 프로그램을 이용하여 색채공간으로 나타내고 L, 값의 최대값과 최소값을 비교하였다. 연구 결과, 한국 전통복식의 색채 특성은 NCS 색체계와 Munsell 색체계 모두 무채색이 명도축을 중심으로 양극으로 분포되어 있는 형태를 취하고 있었고, 높은 채도의 Y, R, B 색상이 색상 축을 위주로 분포되어 있었다. 그러나 NCS 색체계에서는 B가 R방향으로, Munsell 색체계에서는 B가 P방향으로 치우쳐져 있어, 한국 전통색채에서 靑은 실제 파랑이 아닌 보라 띤 파랑에 해당하는 색채이며 각 색채 시스템의 색상 축과 축 사이의 색채공간에 위치하고 있었다. Munsell 색체계는 R과 B 사이에 P가 있음으로 해서 한국 전통색채 중 靑에 해당하는 보라띤 파랑에 대한 색상을 NCS 색체계보다 다양하게 표현할 수 있었다. 이것은 한국 전통복식의 오방색 중 靑에 해당되는 색채의 전달에 있어 Munsell 색체계가 더욱 장점으로 발휘되어 한국 전통복식의 색채전달에 적합한 표준 색채 공간을 제시한다고 할 수 있다. 주제어 색채전달, 전통색채, 표준색채공간 Abstract With regard to color expression of the Korean Traditional Costume, to seek the color system capable to express more accurate and detail of color, in this article the scope of color of NCS and Munsell standard color systems were verified and proposed standard color space suitable to color characteristics and color system fit its character and color communication. Being contents and methods of the study, in order to collect the colors of Korean Traditional Costume, photos from major cultural heritages of traditional arts sector indicate well the life of Korean traditional society were extracted and measured the colors of Costume by NCS and Munsell color systems, and CIE L*a*b* Table Color Space transferred from those were to be expressed by Color Space using Color 3D Program, and compared maximum value and minimum value of L*, a*, b* absolute value. The result of the study indicated the characteristics of Five-elements Color of Korean Traditional Costume the same as it is. So to speak achromatic color takes the form to be distributed to both poles being Value-axis positioned in the center, and being distributed high chroma Y, R, B colors by color-axis oriented distribution, being biased B to R direction in NCS, and to pb direction in Munsell. Compare to NCS Color System, the Munsell Color System distributes more widely purple color region, thus provides color space that can express more detail the purple color that corresponds to blue color of Five-elements Color. It was verified as being an easy system in structuring standardized traditional color data-base that can be applied easily to modern sensitivities.
