| 내용 | 디지털 시대의 현대 아트 주얼리의 새로운 의미 - 패션과 기술을 융합한 소통의 매개체로서의 디자인방안 연구 - A theoretical research on the new value of contemporary jewelry in digital age - Focused on design methods acts to bridge HCI, fashion and communication - 김 정 지 홍익대학교 일반대학원 금속조형디자인전공 박사과정 Kim jung-ji Hongik University ________________________________________ 논문요약 혁신적인 과학의 발달로 유비쿼터스 컴퓨터와 네트워킹의 시대가 도래 해옴에 따라 인간의 신체와 디지털 기술을 결합시키는 디자인의 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. IBM, 필립스, 나이키와 같은 글로벌 대기업의 UFC(Ubiquitous Fashionable Computer) 상품의 예를 쉽게 찾아볼 수 있지만 대량생산을 목적으로 한 제품이란 특성으로 인하여 개개인의 개성표현에 초점이 맞추어 졌다고는 볼 수 없다. 본 연구는 우선 착용가능성의 기술(Wearable Technology)의 개념과 이론적인 배경을 조사 하고 산업계의 구체적인 사례 중 특히 디지털 주얼리의 예를 살펴보고 문제점을 제시하고자한다. 주얼리는 개성을 표현하는 심미적 스타일의 기능 외에도 신체에 직접 착용되는 긴밀함 때문에 인간의 사물에 대한 감성적인 애착이 중요시된다. 특히 가족이나 연인으로부터 주고받는 선물일 경우에는 인간관계를 성립한다는 더욱 특별한 상징적인 의미가 부여된다. 현재의 디지털 문화에서 현대 아트 주얼리 작가들은 새로운 기술과 소재를 수용하여 인간과 상호 작용할 수 있는 감성적인 디자인에 기여할 수 있는지 그 가능성을 제시하고 있다. 인체를 단지 소형화된 디지털 기기를 착용시킬 수 있는 공간과 수단으로 인식한 디지털 주얼리 디자인이 아닌 감성과 개성을 표현하는 소통의 매개체로 확장된 의미의 가능성을 고찰하였다. 주제어 현대 장신구, 소통, 착용가능성의 기술 Abstract As computer system and technology become more ubiquitous in their conception, there is a trend that designers are searching for the way of combining technology with human form (global companies include IBM, Philips and Levis). The technology of such a large corporate companies is about mass-produced changes in our personal experience of the world. When Designing devices that enable communication between individuals using technology, the importance of how the device relates to the users as an individual, rather than a member of group of people should be highlighted. Jewelry is about an intimate connections between an individual and object, and often forms a link in the relationships between persons. This study emphasizes the contribution that contemporary jewelry design can make to the design and conception of digital communication devices, showing a creative methodology for creating new digital jewelries integrating technologies. This bridges the areas of HCI(Human Computer Interaction), contemporary jewelry and other design disciplines. The results include wearable objects and perspective for viewing objects, in particular jewelries involving computer technologies. This study proposes the design of an electronically enhanced form of self-expression for increased social awareness in physical reality, by combining principles of wearable computing, aesthetic visualization, and electronic fashion.
