| 내용 | 고려 시대 문양의 현대적 특성에 관한 연구 On some modern tendencies in the Koryu's illustrations 주저자 : 김향원 강원대학교 디자인학과 박사과정 Kim Hyang-Won Kangwon national university doctorate course 교신저자 : 최인숙 강원대학교 디자인학과 교수 Choi In-Sook Kangwon national university professor _________________________________________ 논문요약 구상과 추상, 그림과 배경, 글과 그림, 장르와 장르의 융합이 벌어지는 디지털 시대이다. 그러나 이 융합현상이 단지 디지털기술에 의거한 산출물인가의 질문으로부터 본 논문이 구성된다. 현대 디자인은 산업 시대에 만들어져 독특한 자신만의 영역을 구축한 것이 아니라, 각 지역의 오랜 소통의 역사 속에서 축적된 결과물이라는 것이 본 연구의 전제이다. 이런 전제로 현대한국의 융합디자인의 경향이 과거 어느 시점에도 존재하지 않았는지 를 밝히려 한다. 이 논문은 한반도민이 단독으로 국가를 성립한 고려시대의 대표문양을 전수 분석한다. 당대 문양이 조형적으로 어떻게 구성된 것이며, 특징은 무엇인가를 기술한다. 이를 통하여, 첫째, 고려시대의 문양은 리얼리즘의 전통를 서서히 벗어나는 과도기에 있으며, 구상의 대상이 지속적으로 추상화되어 갔다는 점을 밝혔다. 둘째, 고려시대의 문양은 선과 면을 상호 분리하지 않고 선을 통하여 면을 구성하고 면을 통하여 선의 특성을 드러내는 변증법적 양상을 가졌다는 사실을 밝혔다. 결론적으로, 고려시대의 문양이 지닌 추상화와 선과 면의 변증법적 조화는 근대 디자인의 기본적인 모습을 드러내 준다. 디자인의 역사에 있어서, 어떤 문양이냐가 아니라 문양을 어떻게 만드는가 하는 ‘양식’이 중요하다는 역사의 관점으로 볼 때, 고려시대의 문양은 현대 융합 디자인의 특성을 가지고 있다고 볼 수 있는 것이다. 고려시대의 문양은 어러가지 주제로 만들어졌지만 양식으로는 특정 시대의 고유한 경향이 아니라 인간의 의식이 삶과 생활문화 속에서 오랜 시간 동안 축적시켜 왔던 보편적 특징을 가졌다고 추정할 수 있다. 주제어 고려시대 문양, 추상화, 선과 면, 융합디자인. Abstract This paper has ventured to propose, in series, that contemporary design tendency to convergence (intercommunication between figures and abstraction, shape and frame, letters and images, various genres) is based on a kind of universal human creation competence rather than a temporary or a technological one. The Korean comtemporary design is originated and generated of some historical accumulation which has been made by the peoples' lifework and aesthetic from the Koryu age. Historical documents and texts analysis are used to illustrate the above points. This historical study can be investigated from figurative and artistic expressions in accessary illustration and can explain its some features in style. Analyse methode is semiotical segmentation in the field of visual text, which permit to describe main characteristics in Koryu's illustrations. Firstly, illustration of the Koryu age reveals its modern character in a transformation from realism to abstraction which supports itself by growing to abstraction of the figures. Secondly, illustration of the age reveals its dialectical aspect between lines and plans stressing a integration of lines to plans. These two main characters of Koryu's illustration show that our contemporary aesthetic and design in Digital age is not in its unique industrial and modern historical course, but also in our Korean universal tradition which is actually performant.
