| 내용 | 어린이를 위한 유니버설디자인 교육 프로그램의 활용에 관한 연구 A Study of Using Universal Education Program for Children 조 성 옥 충청대학교 시각디자인과 교수 Cho seong-ock Chung Cheong university ----------------------------------------------------------------- 논문요약 사람들은 디자인을 항상 눈에 보이는 형상으로만 접하기 때문에 디자인을 대할 때 결과만 중요시하고 그에 이르는 체계적인 과정을 간과하기 쉽다. 그러나 디자인은 디자인 프로세스를 통해서 창조적으로 문제를 해결하기 위하여 일련의 단계적이고 독창적인 방법으로 아이디어를 정리하고 조직화하는 과정의 결과이다. 따라서 디자인 교육은 국어, 수학, 사회, 테크놀러지 등 어느 영역에 제한 받지 않고 다른 과목에서 배운 것들을 창조적으로 결합하는 통합적 교육을 통해서만 가능하다. 디자인 교육은 모든 교육영역에 바탕을 두면서도 이를 넘어서 통섭적인 사고과정에 의하여 효율적으로 이루어질 수 있다. 이런 점에서 어린이를 위한 디자인 교육은 디자인 분야를 넘어서 어린이의 창조력을 극대화할 수 있는 훌륭한 교육방법일 수 있다. 어린이 유니버설디자인 교육에서는 우선 어린이가 주변에서 흔히 볼 수 있는 것들을 관심 있게 관찰하고 불편한 점이 무엇이고 개선할 점이 무엇인지를 생각하게 한다. 나아가 자신의 생각을 구체적으로 사고해보고, 적용해보는 일련의 과정을 통하여 타인에 대한 배려와 세상과 소통하는 문화를 배울 수 있다. 본 논문의 프로그램인 '만약 내가 디자이너라면'은 주변에서 흔히 볼 수 있는 것들을 주제로 불편한 점과 개선해야 할 점을 글로 쓰고 브레인스토밍하며, 이어서 아이디어 스케치, 적용, 발표 및 평가하는 단계로 진행되었다. 이 과정 속에서 아이들은 디자인 프로세스에 따라 자신의 역량을 최대한 발휘하여 통합적으로 사고하고 정리하며 조직화하는 방법들을 익힌다. 현대 정보화 사회의 최고의 화두인 창의성과 인성교육을 함께 할 수 있다는데 어린이 유니버설디자인 교육이 의미 있다 하겠다. 주제어 어린이 유니버설디자인 교육, 창의성, 인성교육 Abstract As people always encounter just seeing things, they overlook that the important one is a consequence named 'design' not a structive process reach to the result. The design, which is the creative way to solve the problems through the design process, is the consequence of process arranges and systemizes the idea. Thus design education is only possible through an integrated education which combines realm of things learned in other courses creatively, and not limited by any areas; mathmatics, technology, etc. Design education in all areas while you put on it by integrated thinking. In this sense, design education for childeren beyond the design field to maximize the creativity of children. About universal design education for children, let children think about the things that can be observed easily and what is inconveniences and what should be improved. In addition to design their own specific set of ideas throughout a series of the process can leaner the culture that care for the others and communicate with the world. This article's problem which is 'If I were designer' write about the things that can be seen around surroundings and the points to improve. Then proceeds to step, sketch, apply, announce, and appraise. In this process, children depending on the design process leaner how to maximize their ability to integrate the idea and systemize.
