| 내용 | 전통문양에서 나타난 음양태극과 삼태극 연구 A Study on Yin-Tang Taegeuk and Sam Taegeuk Shown in the Traditional Patterns 안창호 영동대학교 안창호 Ahn, Chang-Ho 영동대학교 시각디자인학과 교수 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Contents 논문요약 Abstract 1. 머릿글 2. 음양태극 2-1 음양태극의 생성 2-2 음양태극의 상징 2-3 음양태극의 활용 3. 삼태극 3-1 삼태극의 생성 3-2 삼태극의 상징 3-3 삼태극의 활용 4. 음양태극과 삼태극의 비교 4-1 음양론과 음양중 4-2 이분법과 삼분법 4-3 삼재사상 5. 맺음말 참고문헌 논문요약 문양은 그 국가나 민족을 대변 할 만큼 함축된 철학이 있으며 그 집단의 의식과 무의식, 그리고 사상이 응축되어있다. 한국의 전통 문양중 가장 대표적인 태극은 우주의 존재 원리를 일컫는 가장 핵심적인 말로서 고대부터 동양의 국기인 태극기에서 그 모습이 나타나고 있다. 태극문양은 신비, 신성의 부호로서 신라시대 이전부터 사용되어왔으며 우리 민족의 국민 정신과 주권을 대표함과 아울러 조화, 창조, 단결의 상징이었다. 태극문양은 신라시대 이전부터 현재까지 우리의 생활 주변에서 쉽게 전할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 현재 세계 각처에 태극기 혹은 태극선, 태극마크 등이 우리나라를 대표하고 있음을 볼 때 민족적 문양으로서의 역할을 톡톡히 해내고 있는 것이다. 음양태극은 음양론과 이분법 구조를 중심으로 주로 중국이나 일본등에서 많이 나타나며 귀족적이며 서양의 기본사상인 신본주의를 많이 닮았다. 이런 음양태극의 철학적 배경은 순수히 우리민족의 고유의 것이라고 자부하기엔 너무나 이질성이 많다. 이에비해 삼태극은 천.지.인 3합사상을 상징하는 문양이며 삼태극에는 평등과 민주적 사상이 있으며 삼라만상을 창조하는 이차가 담겨있어 예로부터 신성히 여겨왔다. 중국과 일본에 많이 나타나는 음양태극과 달리 사람을 중시하는 인본주의 사상의 삼태극문양은 우리 민족의 정체성을 가장 이어온 문양이라 할 수 있으며 옛날부터 가장 사랑받는 문양으로 활용되어 왔다. 또한 이 삼태극이 최초의 태극관념이며 우리민족의 정서에 맞는 상징적 문양이라 할 수 있다. Keyword : Taegeuk / 2Taegeuk / 3Taegeuk Abstract There is an implicated ghilosophy to represent a country or a nation and a condensed form of conscicousness, unconsciousness and thought of the said group in the pattern. Taegeuk, one of the representative traditional patterns in Korea, is the most crucial word indicating the principle of the foundation of oriental philosophy since the ancient times and it has become our national flag today. The Taegeuk pattern has been used since Silla Dynasty as a sign of mystery and solidarity as well as the national spirit of our nation and sovereignty. People have had an easy access to the Taegeuk pattern in their every day lives before Silla Dynasty to the present and the Taegeuk flag or Taegeuk line and Taegeuk mark have represented our country around the world : in this aspect, the Taegeuk pattern has functioned significantly as our national pattern. Yin-Yang Taegeuk based on Yin-Yang Theory and dichotomy has appeared mainly in China and Japen and it seems familiar with the scholasticism, whish is fundamental and aristocratic in western thought. The philosophical background of the Yin-Yang Taegeuk has been mixed with various foreign thoughts and ideas so that ir would be hard for us to claim that it is purely our unique heritage. In contrast, <Sam Taegeuk> is the pattern symbolizing the thought of combination of three elements such as Heaven, Earth and Human Beings and it has the been considered very sacred from old times. Unlike the Yin-Yang Taegeuk shown frequently in Japen, <Sam Taegeuk> pattern based on humanity can be regarded as one of the most noticeable patterns to express the identity of the our as one of the cherished patterns from old times. Besides, it was the first concept of Taegeuk and he symbolic pattern appropriate to the sentiments of our nation. |
