| 내용 | 지방자치단체 캐릭터의 조형성과 활용에 관한 연구 임태윤 경남대학교 ----------------------------------------------------- 논문요약 1995년 지방자치단체장 선거가 실시된 후 각 자치단체들 마다 앞다투어 CI(City Identity)를 도입하게 되었는데， 중요한것은그지역을대표할만한독창적인캐릭터가제 대로 제작되지 못했으며 제작된 곳조차도 캐릭터에 대한 홍보가 부족하여 대외적으로 인지도가 낮다는 것이다. 특 히 몇 개 지역은 캐릭터의 이름이나 주제의 내용이 똑같아 서 관광객들에게 혼란을 주는 경우도 있는데 경남 진주와 전북장수군의 ‘논개’ 캐릭터 서울광진구와충북단양의 바보옹달과 평강공주’ , 전남 장성과 강원도 강릉의 ‘홍길 동’ 등이다. 또한 논자가 거주하는 경상남도 지방은 ‘경남 이와 경이’ 란 캐릭터가 개발되어 있음에도 불구하고 각종 서식류나 기타매체에 활용하지 않음으로 인해 지역주민들 마저 이를 모르는 사람이 많았다. 설문에 답한 자 350명중 19%인 68명만이 정확하게 답한 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 캐릭터의 주제 손동작 및 손의 위치를 분석 해 보았는데 주제는 추상형태가 가장 많았으며 다음으로 전설에 나타난 인물이나 역사적 실존인물로 나타났다. 손 동작은 으뜸을 표시하는 형태들이 많아 지역의 최고 또는 일류를 알리고자 하는 것으로 판단되었다. 이러한 내용들 을 바탕으로 캐릭터제작의 문제점과 발전방향을 제시하여 향후 지방자치단체들의 캐릭터제작에 도움이 될 수 있는 자료가되었으면한다. Abstract Each a local government introduced CI( city identity) after the governor of a local government’s election in 1995. It’s important that they couldn’t manufacture a creative character as a typical region. Also many people didn’t know the character eγen some local governments produced that, because it lacked public information to inform people. Especially, some local governments have same the character name or the contents of the theme. So it can make confuse to people. For example, JinJu in Kyungnam and Jangsoun Gun in Junbuk have " Nongae" character, Gangjin Gu in Seoul and Danyang in Chungbuk have " A princess pyunggang and an idiot Ondal" , also J angsung in Junnam and Gangrug in Gangwon Do have " Honggildong" . 1 live in the Kyungsang Namdo district. Most people didn’t know the character which produce from Kyungnam government in spite of we have " Kyungnam guy and Kyunglee (girl)". Because the government od Kyungnam didn’t put to practical use their character to a medium. Actually, only 68 people among 350 know this character. It’s just 19%. At last, 1 tried to analyze character’s theme, hand movements and hand's position. They are most an abstract from as the theme. Next it was turn out the legendary pen,?on or the historical existence person. The hand movement showed the best of a region to inform people.
