| 내용 | 영화 영상 크레딧 타이틀(Credit Title)의 구조에 관한 연구-100대 영화를 중심으로 김인 철 전주공업 대학 ------------------------------------------------- 논문요약 크레덧 타이틀(Credit Title)은 영화 영상에서 자막(字幕) 으로 정의되고 그 주된 기능은 영화 초기 무성(無聲) 영화 에서 배우들의 대시를표기해주는 것이었다. 그러던 것이 점차 제작의 주체인 프로덕션을 나타내는 것을 시작으로 인상적인 제목， 주인공과 감독 등 중요한 사람들을 표시하 는 시각적 장치로 발전이 되기 시작했다. 근래에 들어 이른바 영화 영상 시대를 맞이하면서 크레덧 은 영화에 있어서 매우 중요한 요소로 자리잡게 되었다. 아울러 영화에서 크레덧의 종류도 매우 다양하게 나타고 있기 때문에 이에 대한 언어적 정리도 매우 펼요하다. 1985 년 영화가 만들어진 이후 100 년을 조금 넘기면서 21 세기를 맞이하여 미국과 영국에서는 발표된 영회들 이른 바 100대 영회를 선정하기에 이르렀다 따라서 크레덧의 올바른 개념을정리하면서 이른바 100대 영화를 기준으로 한 보편적인 크레덧의 구조를 파악해보는 것이 펼요하다， 마침 우리나라의 씨네 21에서도 100대 영화를 선정하여 구조 파악에 도웅이 되었다. 즉 미국， 영국의 작품들에서 벗어나 여타 유럽 및 제 3국， 우리나라의 작품들을 살펴볼 수있기 때문이었다. 크레덧 타이틀에 대한 언어적 정리는 영화용어 사전에서 까지 명확하게 되어 있지 않은 상태에서 그 기법들이 급진 적으로 진전되고 있어서 매우 시급하다 생각되어 나름대 로 정리 를 했다. 즉 크레덧은단순한개념이 아니라， 영화 의 전 (Pre-Credit) ， 후(Post-Credit) ， 중간(Mid -Credi t) 으로 시작하여 장면의 설명 (Sub Title, Caption)에서부터 프로덕 션 (Logo ， Production Credit) 의 명확한 정체성 부 여는 물론， 영화의 강력한 아이덴티티 (Main Credit, Sub Credit)를 관객들에게 심어주는복합적인 개념이다. 100 대 영화의 크레닷 구조는 현재 컴퓨터로 대표되는 현 란한 검퓨터 그래픽들을 보여주고 있는 상황과 비교해 볼 때 매우 고전적인 모습을 하고 있음이 확인되었다 즉 캐 릭터， 2차원 및 3차원 애니메이션 등이 범람하고 있는다 른 영회들과 비교하여 영화의 내용에 적절히 어울리는 크 레덧이 제작되어야함을 말해주고 있는 것이다. Abstract Credit titles meant only narrations of acting persons were at the beginning of motion pictures without sounds. But the meanning of credits are changing because of coming the era for scenic images. The scenic images with motion pictures are setting for important with many tools as computers and cam-corders. We can create many of images with ease at any time In motion picture, the credit titles have created in between films many aspects, especially whole through the movies The credit titles are made in 3 major parts-Pre Credit, Post Credit and Mid Credit. Production title, main thtile and sub credit are for Pre Credit. Caption and sub titles as descriptions for second languages are Mid Credit. Text summaries for whole movies people and as 'The End' are Post Credit. Otherwise, the constructions of credit are in vanous In 100 major motion pictures selected by AFI(American Film Insti tu te). BFI(Bri tish Film Institute) and Cine 21 of Korea have expressed at moderate level. Compare to the other films not in 100 major, this is period of computer graphic interface of well coordinated with the films in these days, the credit titles are in somewhat classic shape still And the visual communication designers have practised well since 1950s for better images in some major films.
